Summer is quickly approaching and I recently found myself back on Amazon making my yearly summer purchases for our homeschool curriculum. We’ve homeschooled year round for pretty much the entire time that we’ve homeschooled and honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Now is the perfect time to share with you exactly what our curriculum looks like during the summer each year. While school is much more relaxed and lighter, I try my best to only get what we need because it’s really supposed to be a time for us to unwind and just enjoy this time together as a family.
Homeschooling year round, allows my children to review what they learned the previous year, plus give them a good overview of what’s to come. So during the summer months, there’s a lot down time and we feel that keeping their brains busy is better than them sitting around doing nothing. In addition, the activities are fun and engaging. Instead of them working a full school day, they may only work on one to two pages from one of these suggested books.
Summer Bridge Activities

The Summer Bridge Activities studies up to 8th/9th grade. We started summer bridge years ago. It’s a great way to prevent summer learning loss. This workbook has all 4 subjects and all you need is about 15 minutes per day, per child. It is suggested that you work on 2 pages per day.
